This is a very special edition of the Chester Herald published on January 1st, 1914 and features a lot of village history and many articles about life in Chester in the early years.

Images were provided by Brad Brown. The handwritten notes on the page are his father's - Harold Brown - who grew up in Chester. The name F.P Turnure on the front page is the name of a resident of Chester, at the time, I believe. The copy of the document was given to his father by Dale Duey, a life long friend. Harold was the grandson of O.L. Brown, a founder of the town and the owner of the O.L. Brown Grain and Lumber in Chester.
