Welcome to an online collection of artifacts from through Chester’s history. Many of these have been collected over the years and rather than just stay hidden in filing cabinets and boxes, I thought it would be good to display them until (hopefully!) one day Chester gets a museum of its own.

Chester Nebraska Auditorium Photo for Dedication
This photo shows the Chester Municipal Auditorium at the time it was dedicated in 1938.
The Chester Municipal Auditorium was a 1938 WPA project intended for social and recreational uses. It was built at a cost of $29,340 with much of the labor done by hand.
It is still used today for community events.
